REVELATION 1:4-6
“And has made us kings
and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and
ever. Amen.”
(Revelation 1:6). If you have given your life to Christ, whether you know it or
not, you automatically become a special person to God. 1 Peter 2:9 says you
part of a chosen generation, a royal priesthood and a holy nation. You are no
more ordinary because the blood of Jesus flows through you. “That
which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is
spirit.” (John 3:6).
Since you have undergone a spiritual birth, you have some semblance with the Spirit. He deposits his seed in you, which makes you a stranger to the sins you once practised. Now Jesus has made you a king under his Father. Kings rule by decree. They are the heads. Kings have royalty. If you believe this, prove it in your attitude to life.
Some believers live apologetically. They are beggarly, tossed to and fro by every situation that comes across their paths. Any problem that comes makes them panic and threaten to quit the faith. Such have not learned what it means to live as a king.
Kings do not talk in vain. When they do, their word is law. One person who reigned like a king and was in control was Elijah. In 1 Kings 17:1, he decreed that there should be no rain for three-and-a-half years, and so it was. Do you understand the implication of that? Drought, starvation, famine and all kinds of evil resulted because of a single decree.
You too can start to rule by decree from today. Bind the demons on assignment against you and your family. Decree that your business will be 100 times better than it was last year. Decree that if promotion will come for one person in your workplace, it is to you. Carry yourself like the king you are. Do not use your tongue to say what will not befit a king. Let your words be few.
