WHAT ADDRESS?

READ: 1 KINGS 17:2-6
Some of us behave as if God’s eyes cannot see us, especially when we are doing wrong. But the Scriptures say that all things are naked and open to him.
God knows everything about the stars and galaxies. He also knows me. He knows my address. This is to ensure that the answer to my prayers does not go to the wrong address. In our reading, during a time of famine, God instructed ravens to deliver bread and meat to Elijah for a whole year. The birds did not miss the location – the brook called Cherith, where Elijah was.
Your miracles will not miss you, in Jesus’ Name. The Lord will command your blessings to locate you where you are. In the same vein, God release certain blessings to reach his children in their place of fellowship. The story is told of an angel who was sent with three babies, meant for some sisters trusting God for the fruit of the womb. The angel arrived the church and met only two of the women and handed each on her baby. He searched for the third woman but she was nowhere to be found, so he returned with her baby.
This still happens today. Have you observed at a special meeting or during ministry, the case of a particular brother is called. The angel has brought the answer to his prayer of several years. But when you look around, that every brother is not in service that day. So the angel returns with that blessing to heaven. It can take the brother two to five years, or more, to get that answer. He will have to begin the process from scratch.
Jesus wept over Jerusalem. He said because they did not know the day of their visitation, what would have brought them peace, joy and progress was hidden from their eyes (Luke 19:41-44). May you not miss God on the day of visitation. Some people will have left the parish when their miracle package arrives at the parish address. Keep on trusting in God. Be patient. Attend services regularly, because you do not know your day of visitation.
MEMORIZE: PSALM 84:4 –Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; they will still be praising you.
