REPAYING WITH GRIEF

READ: HEBREWS 6:4-6
If you don’t know your worth, you will agree to be bought for any price. You are worth more than the whole world. You are the priest of the Most High God. Don’t reduce yourself to the level of dogs and pigs. No matter how much you clean up a pig, it is not happy until it returns to its dirty habitat-the mud. If others are doing it, you are not them. Refuse to join those who give their most treasured assets to Satan for next to free. It must never be heard that you, a worker, a minister of God or church leader were seen committing adultery, stealing or involved in a cult.
The first time I visited an Oba in his palace I saw all the chiefs entering and rolling on the ground. I was about to prostate to the Oba when something in me warned not to try it. He reminded me that I am an ambassador of the Most High God. So I stood and greeted his majesty. If you don’t know your worth, heaven knows it and places great value on it. If you do not respect yourself, respect your owner. There is nothing capable of causing sorrow to somebody than going through so much pains and agony to improve the lot of somebody but it is unappreciated. An adage says that the ungrateful fellow is in the same category with an armed robber.
“But with whom was he grieved forty years? Was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?” (Hebrews 3:17). The children of Israel caused God grief not just for one year, but for 40 years. Some believers today are causing the Lord to grieve. He has been patient for a while but if they do not repent, He will totally withdraw His grace from them. The next thing that will follow is death. Every act of compromise tends towards death. Does your behaviour show you truly appreciate Christ’s sacrifice on the cross? Ephesians 4:28-32 says if you are still stealing after claiming to be born again, you should stop it. If you are still living in sin after salvation, you are crucifying Jesus for the second time and putting Him to an open shame. There was a time when organizations need a cashier or somebody trustworthy to handle sensitive official business, they will direct such requests to us at the Headquarters in Ebute-Metta. Do not spoil the chances of others through compromise. Are you repaying His sacrifices with grief?
