EXPLORE THE WORD

READ: GENESIS 13:14-17
Now that the battle for your soul has been won, you have to increase you territory and enlarge your frontiers. In 2 kings 7:10-20, the servants who were sent to determine whether the four lepers were telling the truth did not limit themselves. They went all the way, even unto Jordan. They went far beyond the tents of the Syrians.
It is time for you to trust God for new vision. Nothing stands in your way. If you live in a squatter camp, then trust God for a rental apartment. Continue in faith and trust God to make you a home-owner. Are you trusting God for a second-hand car? Why not trust him for a brand new one? Ask God for the impossible and you will have it.
God assisted Abraham to enlarge his territory after he showed complete obedience by parting ways with Lot. According to our text, God told him to walk the land and that he could have all he could see. While God was preparing Joshua to follow in Moses’ footsteps, God told him that he should travel through the land, and that the territory where he set foot would become his (Joshua 1:2-4).
God’s Word is like the Promised Land. It is offered to everyone free of charge. All the promises in it are valid. However, in order to make it your own, you have to ‘walk through’ the Word through study and meditation if you want to receive the revelation that will turn your situation around. When the Holy Spirit quickens a passage to your spirit while you are praying, studying or meditating on the Word, apply that passage to your life. You’ll witness powerful results; more powerful than if you try and apply portions of Scripture which you picked yourself.
Some Christians have favourite passages that they concentrate on. There are certain passages they have never read. But God’s blessings have been scattered throughout his Word, from Genesis to Revelation, much like a jigsaw puzzle. If you explore the whole Bible, you will find all of them. It’s your choice. Don’t limit yourself!
MEMORIZE: JOSHUA 1:3 –Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given to you, as I said to Moses.
