LAW OF SUBSTITUTION

READ: PSALM 79:9-13

“The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked comes in his stead.” (Proverbs 11:8)
If God has chosen you and is interested in you, he will operate the law of substitution in your favour. That means if death is about to swallow you, God will say, ‘No leave him alone and take any of the wicked in his place.’ This law was operative in Daniel 3:22. The men who bound Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego and threw them into the fiery furnace, kindled at King Nebuchadnezzar’s command, were slain by the fire. They were simply exchanged for the Hebrew children, while the trio lived to share their testimony.
Similarly, in Daniel 6:24, those who schemed for Daniel to be devoured by the lions replaced him. Daniel 6:1-7 shows that these were no mean few. The conspiracy comprised two presidents, 120 princes and an undisclosed number of governors, counsellors and captains. Unfortunately, some innocent relatives such as their wives and children also formed part of the great feast of the lions. They were all given in exchange for the life of Daniel. O, how precious Daniel was to God!
Everyone planning death for you as God’s beloved will die in your place, in Jesus’ Name. The unfortunate thing is that while the enemy is planning to take a simple life – that of God’s favourite, by the time the law of substitution is applied, it could wipe out several families, as happened in Daniel’s case. In fact a whole cabinet was eliminated because they plotted death for the favourite of the Lord.
In Isaiah 43:3-4, when God operated the law, three nations namely, Egypt, Ethiopia and Seba were given as ransom for his precious Israel. Are you fighting any of God’s anointed? You may be in danger of destroying yourself and your entire family. Are a favourite of God? Sustain this, so that God can always apply the law in your favour.
