CHRISTIAN OPTION

READ: EZEKEL 16:44-52
God does not give out His blessings to those who will waste them. Any association with the ungodly will introduce problems into your life. Praying for divine blessings and travelling with a Jonah in your boat will make it impossible for you to receive favourable answers to your prayers. Hear this: God will not bless those who team up with sinners. The blessings of God are not for the children of the devil. God has made up His mind that unless sinners repent, it will not be well with them. Proverbs 13:15: “Good understanding gains favor , but the way of unfaithful is hard .” If you team up with a sinner, you too will walk along the hard way. Some misguided Christian believers hope to change the unbeliever they want to marry. It is only Jesus Christ who can change people. How are you sure that an unbeliever will surrender himself to Jesus Christ? Many people have lost their salvation because they teamed up with the wrong fellow. We have to be careful. God knows what is good for us. Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers. You know the story of Lot. He was a righteous man but his wife was an unbeliever. When God was merciful to Lot and took him out of Sodom and Gomorrah, his wife looked back and became a pillar of salt. Although Lot escaped, his end was not good. His children made him sleep them. The children that came out of this union were cursed from birth. Ezekiel 16:44 says, “Indeed everyone who quotes proverbs will use this proverb against you: Like mother, like daughter!” The only safe way you can make friends with an unbeliever is by getting the fellow to become born again. If not, you have to separate. If you do not, it means you do not want to go to the Kingdom of God. This is a command by God, which many Christians do not obey. When things are going well, everybody thanks God. However, when things are not going well, very few Christians thank God. Yet it is commanded by God that in all things we should give thanks. To obey is better than sacrifice.
MEMORIZE: PROVERBS 13:15 –Good understanding gains favor , but the way of unfaithful is hard.
