INTERNAL ENEMIES

READ: PROVERBS 16:1-19
You would always have enemies as long as there are good qualities and prospect in your life. The enemies can do their worst; there is nothing to worry about. When you are full of the Holy Spirit, you would enjoy peace in the midst of a storm. God has promised us peace like a river (Isaiah 48:18). No weapon fashioned against you will prosper. God will deal with all your enemies. He has severe weapons for dealing with internal enemies. We will quickly mention some of these ways. First, in Genesis 37:19-24, the relatives of Joseph wanted to kill him by throwing him into a pit. But before they could kill him, the One whose name is Alpha and Omega has dried up the pit. God would always be one step ahead of the enemy. Second, when Joseph’s relatives saw he did not die, they sold him into slavery. However, God made his (Joseph’s) master to become his friend (Genesis 39:1-6). Third, when the wife of Potiphar instigated her husband against Joseph, her husband put Joseph in prison rather than kill him. This pushed Joseph a step closer to glory. When the internal enemies say that they are pushing you into prison, God will draw you near the throne. In 1 Samuel 19:10, David also had an internal enemy, King Saul, who also happened to be his father-in-law. King Saul threw a javelin at David but it missed him. Every arrow thrown at you by the enemy will miss its mark, in the name of Jesus. God can also give internal enemy something to keep him busy. Moses had an internal enemy in Miriam and Aaron (Numbers 12:1-15). God smote Miriam with leprosy and Moses had peace. Unless those who are fighting against you repent, God will give them assignments to engage them. Also, God can remove your internal enemy from the face of the earth. In Numbers 16:28-33, some people ganged up against Moses. God opened up the earth and swallowed them up. In view of all these you don’t have to fear any enemy. Since God has many arrows in His quiver, He can deal with anyone who constitutes himself into an enemy against you. God will fight for you. Trust in Him.
MEMORIZE: PSALM 68:1 –Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered; let those also who hate Him flee before Him.
