READ:
DANIEL 6:1-28
Today we
shall examine the story of Daniel’s triumph. Daniel is one character who
continues to challenge Christian believers with his integrity, faithfulness and
ability to stand upright in the face of temptation. Those who had conspired
against Daniel knew that they could not accuse him of any wrongdoing. “So
the governors and satraps sought to find some charge against Daniel concerning
the kingdom; but they could find nor charge or fault ...” The only hope
of destroying him was to accuse him falsely: “Then these men said, We shall not
find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning
the law of his God.” Jesus said we would be protected and kept safe
just as Daniel was. Even when we are falsely accused as he was, we still come
out unharmed. “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds
of evil against you falsely for My sake.” (Matthew 5:11). If we are in
communion and fellowship with our God, the forces of evil will have no power
over us because they will recognise that we do not belong to them and that we
are not subjects of their kingdom. When the forces of darkness try to come
against us, a boundary of intense light will be set round us. No darkness can
overcome that protective shield because darkness must always give way to light.
To be assured of victory over the force of evil and darkness in your own life,
and to live in victory all your days, declare it in these words: “Lord,
I thank you that, in the name of Jesus, you have enabled me to overcome the
world and all my enemies. Thank you for sending Jesus to set me free from the
kingdom of darkness and to translate into the kingdom of your dear Son. In Him
I am always more than a conqueror.” Amen.

DANIEL 6:4 –So the governors and satraps sought to find some charge against
Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find nor charge or fault, because
he was faithful; nor was there any error or fault found in him.
