SUDDEN TRANSFORMATION

READ: EPHESIANS 1:17-23

Esther was a little girl raised by her uncle Mordecai. One day, she was chosen for a beauty pageant and won. Suddenly she was crowned queen. Esther 4:17 says: “So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.”
What strikes one in this verse is the sudden promotion of Esther. The little girl had become queen. She was now giving orders to her uncle, from whom she had taken orders until she became queen. This shows divine promotion. Mordecai on his part obeyed her promptly. When your colleague is promoted above you to manage your department or to become your pastor or senior pastor, what do you do? Do you resist him or refuse to submit? Or do you adapt immediately to give him the honour due to him? After Joseph became prime minister, his brothers bowed down to him. Revelation 3:21 says: “To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with My Father in His throne.”
As Esther was promoted from an insignificant little girl to become the queen, sitting on her throne, one day those who have met the criteria of overcoming will sit with Jesus Christ on the same throne as kings. And we shall reign with him forever! Are you an overcomer? Are you preparing for that day? Our reading tells us Jesus Christ is seated at God’s right hand, far above principalities and powers. Ephesians 2:6 reads that the moment we became born again, there was a transformation. We who were ordinary people, tormented and dominated by powers of darkness, suddenly were made to sit in heavenly places in Christ and from that moment, demons now say ‘Yes sir’ to us and live in terror of us! Praise God.
God transformed David from a shepherd boy into a king. God can still do a lot with your life. It doesn’t matter where you are now. He can suddenly take you far above all you know are great – overnight. Do you qualify for such transformation?

MEMORIZE: ACTS 4:11 –This is the stone which was set at nothing of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
