DIVINE BREAKTHROUGH

READ: PSALM 1:1-6
What is the implication of what we learnt one week ago? What Elisha, the man of God, said prophetically; he is still saying to all believers. Let me say it again: within twenty-four hours, there will be a breakthrough. What do we mean by a breakthrough? When a man is digging a well in a dry land and suddenly comes across water after several days of hard work, we would say he has made a breakthrough. This is because, from that day onwards, he will never thirst or lack water again. Breakthrough means entering into a blessing that is more than enough. You keep on sweating until you get a breakthrough. Unless you get a breakthrough, your efforts will be fruitless. When you get a breakthrough, it comes with joy and happiness. Today, we shall take a brief look at one man in the Bible who had a breakthrough: Abraham. In Genesis 12:1-3: “Now the LORD had said to Abram: Get out of your country, from your kindred and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curs him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Abraham woke up one morning to God’s promises of blessing: that He would make him great and make a great nation out of him. God also said that through him He would bless the whole world. One thing that is common with those who have breakthroughs is that God singles them out. Abraham became great afterwards. God singled him out for supernatural blessings. We have the description of his blessings in Genesis 24:34-35; “So he said, I am Abraham’s servant. The LORD has blessed my master greatly, and he has become great; and He has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, male and female servants, and camels and donkeys.”Abraham could no longer escape being great. Do you know that what God did for Abraham He can do for you today? Challenge God through prayer by asking Him to grant you a supernatural breakthrough. Invest so much of your prayer efforts in this request and your life will no longer remain the same.
MEMORIZE: PSALM 1:3 –He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose lea also shall not wither; and whatever he dose shall prosper.
