TOTAL SECURITY

READ: PSALM 46:1-11
One of the benefits of salvation is total security. The people of the world live in fear everyday. There is neither peace nor security in the world. Only those kept by the power of God are free from the powers that daily plunder the lives and property of many. Only God can give you all-round security. The second verse of our text, today, leaps at me: “Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.” God is near, all the time. Many times, we think that He is far away, particularly when we pray and do not get answers. God is as close to us as our shadows. He will never leave us nor forsake us. A believer may be down but he is not out. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 4:8-9: “We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not is despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed-” As long as your voice is still intact (with which you can cry to Jesus Christ), the enemy has not won the battle. Whenever you can still cry to God, victory is assured. When there is life, there is hope. In 2 Timothy 2:8-9, Paul said: “Remember that Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel, for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, even to the point of chains; but the word of God is not chained.” The word of God is not chained. The Bible says: “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” (Psalm 107:20). As long as the word of God keeps coming to you, your healing and deliverance are assured. Satan may have chained you. The enemy may think you have been chained, but the power in the word of God that remains unchained shall set you free. Your finances shall be set free. Your promotion shall be set free. Your children shall be set free. As long as the word of God is not chained, there is hope. The word of God abides forever.
MEMORIZE: PSALM 107:20 –He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
