READ: JOB
19:25-27
Has the
enemy fired hard at you and you are flat on the floor? Has your business or
finances been badly hit? Are you licking the wounds inflicted on you by the
forces of darkness? Be encouraged. It is only for a moment. “That the
triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a
moment?” (Job 20:5).
One believer who received much attacks from the dark forces was Job. With God’s permission, Satan destroyed his children, business empire and assets and stole his health. Everything seemed to be upside down for him. Yet in Job 19:25-27 he said he will have his body restored and still see God. In other words, he was saying, ‘Satan, rejoice not over me because soon I shall spring up in power, affluence and dominion’.
Is your business failing? It’s just for a moment. That siege and stagnation will soon disappear. That barrenness will soon be history. Your rising and falling will soon be a thing of the past. Arise and rejoice in the Lord your God who is strong and mighty. When Job lost all he had, Satan and envious neighbours rejoiced and celebrated. But when God turned around his captivity, they became sorrowful. If you listened carefully, you could hear Satan lamenting, ‘I wish I had not taken Job through these pains! He would have remained at his former level of blessing.’ But his trials made God to promote and give several folds more. The blessings you will receive after your trial will generate sorrow in the hearts of those who are presently celebrating your misfortune.
The kingdom of darkness rejoiced when they captured and crucified Jesus. But that was their greatest mistake. He went to their headquarters, defeated them and released all the righteous souls in Abraham’s bosom. He took the keys of death and hell and gave them to all believers. All you need do, is fix your gaze on the Lord. Praise and worship Him profusely. Then invite the Heavenly forces to chase out all your enemies. If it is trial of faith you may need to wait as long as the Lord decides. But wait in faith. Your end shall be more glorious.
