READ: EPHESIANS 6:10-13
Your attitude to today’s topic will determine whether you will experience God’s favour or His wrath. Obedience brings blessings while disobedience brings judgment. If acts of disobedience go on unchecked the culprit will surely reap the consequences.
Great consequences trail every act of disobedience. Disobedience is not a simple sin. It is a compound one because it is the fruit of doubt and unbelief. The original sin in the Garden of Eden came because Eve disobeyed the word of God. If you disobey God, it means you doubt Him and do not believe Him. Nobody ever disobeys until there is doubt. The punishment for disobedience is very severe. These punishments include (i) Curses from God (ii) Divine wrath (iii) Divine vengeance. If you disobey or kick against God’s commandment, you are God’s enemy. We can fight all the forces of demons in this world and win convincingly but if you decide to fight God, I don’t know who will protect you. Anytime you disobey God, you challenge Him to a combat. EPHESIANS 5:6 “Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.” The wrath of God is coming upon the children of disobedience. God shall use flaming fire to take vengeance on those who disobey. I wonder how many people like to walk through the
fir e of God that consumed stone and water on Mount Carmel. You know what is to face the wrath of a man, not to talk about the anger of God. When God vows to revenge, whoever is on the opposing side is in trouble. Look at HEBREWS 2:2 “For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward.” we have disobeyed God for a long time and the Bible says there will be a just reward for every act of disobedience. However, thank God for the salvation brought by Jesus Christ. The blood of Jesus cleanses from all sins. Those who ignore the salvation that Jesus has brought must get ready for the reward that God will give for disobedience.
If you are a sinner you can receive salvation now. Get saved today and you will experience a happy day.
