THE REPAIRED ALTAR

READ: 2 KINGS 18:30-39
The shortest way to receive a miracle is by repairing the altar of the Lord. When the altar of the Lord is in good shape, you will receive whatever miracles you desire from the Lord. Elijah repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down. And fire fell. Our altars have been broken down, that is why it seems God is not answering our prayers. We are not where we ought to be. Many have lost their bearings. Would you repair the altar of the Lord that has been broken in your heart? The Bible says, in Isaiah 55:6-7: “Seek the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. ” As I read today’s text, an interesting fact caught my attention. The prayer of Elijah lasted less than thirty seconds. It was a casual prayer. Yet, fire fell. This is the kind of prayer that I like to offer; prayers that will bring instant answers. Let me ask you this question. What exactly is the water in your life preventing the fire from burning? Could it be outright disobedience? Could it be that you have not been witnessing the way God wants you to? Could it be that you have been robbing God and you have not been paying your tithes? Could it be that you have not been praying the way you should? Have you been praising God the way you should be praising Him? Could it be you have just been reading the Bible instead of studying it? Could it be that you have been living in sin? You cannot hide anything from God. You have to separate the water from the fire so that each time you pray, answer will come. As you think of the water in your life, make a decision to amend and ask God to help you because you cannot do it on your own.
MEMORIZE: ISAIAH 55:6 –Seek the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.
