WORSHIP IN BREAKTHROUGH

READ: DANIEL 4:28-37
If you know to worship God, you know how to reach God’s heart and thereby become a candidate for breakthrough. They say the way to a man’s heart is good food. The way into God’s heart is praise, thanksgiving and worship. “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” (Psalm 100:4).
David was filled with the Holy Spirit and was busy praising God in Saul’s palace when the king threw his javelin to pin him to the wall. The javelin missed David twice as he praised God. If you know how to praise God in spirit and in truth, no matter how many times Satan throws his arrows at you, they will miss as God’s glory surrounds you while you praise him. After God granted Hannah her request by giving her Samuel, she praised and worshipped God right from her heart (1 Samuel 2:1-2). Of course she wanted more children but had to first thank God for the one she had already been given. Then God gave her five more. Many Christians today do not appreciate what God has already done. All they cry for is more. This becomes a stumbling block to further breakthroughs.
King Nebuchadnezzar lived in pride. He attributed all his success to himself. To teach him a lesson, God made him an animal and he lived on grass for seven years. At the end of this period, he lifted up his eyes to God, asking for mercy and restoration. God restored only his understanding. What did the king do next? He began to praise and worship God to the point that God had no choice but to return to him his glory, honour and brightness.
God suddenly caused his counsellors to remember him after seven years! They searched for him and brought him back as king. Then God added to him excellent majesty, to make him far greater than before he was forced into exile. Are you trusting God to restore what you lost during your years of trial? Why not apply worship and praise. You can praise God to a point that he will have no choice but to give you your desired breakthrough. In fact, he will go beyond it. When you praise, worship and thank God, you are doing yourself a big favour.
MEMORIZE: PSALM 100:4 –Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
