UNPROVOKED ASSAULT!

READ: MATTHEW 10:16-25
King Saul was tormented right in his palace by an evil spirit. David, a young skilled instrumentalist, was employed to bring respite to him. Yet as he played innocently and served Saul, all that occupied the king’s heart was how to kill David. He hurled his javelin twice at him, intending to pin him to the wall, but twice he failed (1 Samuel 18:10-11). On escaping, David must have asked himself what evil he had done to Saul. Even today, some people ask, ‘What have I done to warrant the attack of the enemy?’ You do not have to warrant an attack of the devil. It is the duty of darkness to attack light. It is the lawful commission of witches and wizards to attack you.
“You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” (John 8:44)
If agents of darkness refuse to perform their assignment, they will be mercilessly punished. Together with their father, their threefold mission is to steal, to kill and to destroy (John 10:10). A group of magicians were performing somewhere. Then some believers in Christ started praying close by. Their prayer began to affect the operations of the demons so that they could not respond to the dictates of the magicians. On being asked what was happening, the demons pointed to the praying believers. What do you think the reaction of the magicians was?
Sometimes, having been used by the Lord you might be going on your way innocently when you meet up with someone who abuses you and tries as much as possible to get you to fight with him, even without provocation. It is the devil who is annoyed and who has stirred this person up against you. Just ignore him, since Satan is looking for ways to get back at you. No matter how hard the devil tries, he will continue to fail in your life, in Jesus’ Name. Stay holy.
MEMORIZE: ISAIH 59:7 –Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.
