THE WAY OUT

READ: PSLAM 22:9-20
I have words of encouragement for you today. The God whom we serve is able to turn the wilderness into rivers of water. He is able to turn hopeless situations around. He is your God. Nothing is impossible with Him. Do not allow problems to intimidate you. Even if you are under a siege, He will come to your rescue. In a siege, help rarely comes from outside. This is because everybody is shut in. Even f the king has allies; there is no way that messengers can carry a request for help to the allies because the enemies are outside. Also, whenever there is siege, it is difficult to get help from superiors because they too are under siege. The city is fully surrounded leaving only one way left for help to come from. This is from above. This is why David said in Psalm 121:1-2, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills -from whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.” Do you remember the story of the man who was paralysed from the neck downwards, in Mark 2:1-12? His friends carried him to where Jesus Christ was and when they got there they discovered that a crowd had blocked the way to Him. The people were determined not to let the man get to Jesus but his friends were determined that he would get to Jesus. They look up, discovered that the way to the roof was free, and climbed the roof. When you are in a siege, the only one way to look is up. When you look up, you will see Jesus. Jesus says in John 14:6 that He is the Way. When enemies say there is no way for you anymore, Jesus will say He is the Way. When it appears that there is no way forward and the   enemy is behind and the Red Sea is in front, the Almighty God will say to you, as He said to Moses: to move forward. If you have Jesus Christ you will always win. In John 10:10, Jesus says He has come to give you life and to have it more abundantly. The only way out of siege is Jesus Christ. If all is well between you and God, according to Jeremiah 1:18-19, and your enemies fight against you, they will not overcome you. God will always come to your rescue even when it seems your condition is totally hopeless.
MEMORIZE: HEBREWS 12:2 –Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
