DIVINE PRESENCE

READ: ISAIAH 43:1-6
A man went fishing with his daughter and wife. When they got into the sea, there was a storm that capsized their boat. The man was the only one who could swim among the three. So, with one hand, he held his wife and with the other hand, he held hi daughter. He began to swim towards the shore; but after sometime, he became tired. He had to drop one of them so as to het ashore. He had a terrible decision to make. He dropped his daughter. He heard the cry of the daughter as he swam towards the shore with his wife and this haunted him for the rest of his life. If that were Jesus Christ, He would not drop you. Do not rely on human beings for help. Man will disappoint you. You can only rely on the Almighty who neither sleeps nor slumbers. He does not travel and you do not need an appointment to see Him. His name is Jesus Christ. He has promised never to leave you or forsake you. The battle is hottest when it is about to end. Many people give up just before the miracle comes. If your battle is very hot, it only means that it is about to end. Jesus always walks in at darkest hour. We have two examples to give here. In John 20:19, the disciples were assembled together and they locked the door for fear of the persecution of the Jews. There were frightened and disillusioned. At that very moment, Jesus walked in. When he walked in he said, “Peace be with you.” Again, in Matthew 14:23-27, Jesus told His disciples to go to the other side of the lake. When He finished praying, there were no more boats so He decided to walk on the sea. In the meantime, there was a storm and the disciples were affected. They were worried that they were going to sink. Suddenly, they saw somebody walking on the sea. They thought it was a ghost. They cried out in fear. They soon realised it was the Lord. He came to them and said, “Fear not.” In the darkest hour of the storm Jesus will come to you walking on the sea. His presence will turn your troubles to triumph, your sorrow to joy and your failure to success. Fear not.
MEMORIZE: ISAIAH 59:19 –So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun; when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him.
