THE HOLY SPIRIT

READ: ROMANS 8:6-9
The life of holiness is better experienced than described. “The taste of the pudding,” they say, “is in the eating.” There is a level of godliness which goes beyond the ephemeral layer. The closer you walk with God the more of His glory and purity you manifest. The greatest experience anyone can have on earth is to be sanctified. The sanctified derives a lot of benefits from walking with God. Let us examine a few today. Those who are sanctified lead peaceful lives. This is because they have nothing to fear; their future is secured and they conscious of being loved by God. When you know that the almighty God loves you, you would automatically have peace. In Philippians 4:7, the Bible describes the peace of the sanctified as the peace that passes all understanding. “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Again in Isaiah 48:17-18, the Bible says there will be peace like a river for sanctified. For those who are not sanctified, the Bible says, “There is no peace for the wicked.” The sanctified one lives a life of joy. Sanctification does not make you sad or morose. It is something to be joyous about. If you are serious about walking with the Almighty God, your entire life will be a continuous flow of joy. This is because you are hopeful that tomorrow will be all right. Therefore, you have peace like a river. In any case, Philippians 4:4 commends you to rejoice in the Lord always because according to Hebrews 13:8, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. If you rejoice in the Lord, your joy will be forever. It will be an endless stream. Your joy will be permanent. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Additionally, to live the sanctified life, you must receive the Holy Spirit. If you have not been filled with the Holy Spirit, living a sanctified life will be difficult. As a matter of fact, you can hardly claim to belong to Jesus Christ if you do not have the Holy Spirit. Your prayer should be that God should fill you anew with the Holy Spirit. Then you will know what it means to be entirely sanctified.
