ACHIEVING EXCELLENCE

READ: 1CORINTHIANS16:9-15
Excellence is achievable. However, you have to work towards its achievement. Achievers of excellence always go the extra mile. They put in a lot of hard work before they attain the level of excellence. You must make excellence your goal. Avoid being haphazard in anything you do. Do you want to achieve excellence in life and ministry? You must take the following steps:
(a) Work hard. God appreciates hard work. He actually expects you to work hard. God has no interest in lazy people. Haggai 2:4 says: “Yet now be strong, Zerubabel, says the LORD; and be strong, Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land, says the LORD, and work; for I am with you, says the LORD of hosts.” Be strong and work hard.
(b) Work abundantly. The more work you do for God the more blessing you will receive from Him. 1 Corinthians 15:58 says: “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” Always abound in the work of the Lord. You are to work assiduously.
(c) Beaddicted worker. You are to become addicted to the work of the Lord. 1 Corinthians 16:15: “I urge you, brethren-you know the household of Stephanas, that it is thefirstfruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the ministry of the saints.” The Biblesays that we are to submit to people who get addicted to the work of the Lord. If you too can be addicted to the work of the Lord, you will become the Almighty’s favourite.
MEMORIZE: JOHN5:17–But Jesus answered them, My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.
