READ: ROMANS7:18-24
If you wish
to see those who specialize in putting on masks, you should get into a
Christian assembly. People try to put up their best appearance in a typical
Sunday service. Those who are sad try to flash a toothy smile, while those who
are torn apart by internal wars pretend as if all is well. God does not want us
to put n a mask. He will be happier if we are sincere and allow Him to know
exactly our true spiritual state. The text of today’s devotion reveals the
secret of Paul’s success. Paul was honest and down to earth. When he reviewed
his life, he cried out to God. The Almighty God heard him and came to his
rescue. He was able to say, in Romans 8:1-2 that: “There is therefore now no
condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the
flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ
Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” Samson also
owned up to his fault. He must have said something like: “Here in prison, without eyes,
ridiculed by unbelievers because of my persistent disobedience, O Lord help me.”
God made him a great hero in death than in life. I do not know where you are. I
cannot answer the question for you. Often, the front that we present to people
gives them a wrong idea about our situation, and we tend to enjoy the
deception.
