NO NEUTRALITY

READ: LUKE9:59-62
There isan aspect of the army of the lord which we need to examine today. No soldier is allowed to sit on the fence. All hands must be on deck. God will not accept excuses. He expects every soldier to shape up and perform. In the army of the Lord, there is no room for lack of concentration. When you are driving a truck, in the army of the Lord, you are expected to look straight on and never allow yourself to be distracted. With your hands still on the plough, you are not allowed to look back. Disobedience is out of the question in the army of the Lord. John 15:14 says: “You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.” If you read the verse conversely, it means disobedience is an enmity against God. I do not wish to be an enemy of Jesus Christ. The moment you start disobeying Christ, you become an enemy; there is no neutral zone. When God begins to deal with His enemies, you’d be better off on the side of God. In the army of the Lord, there is no room for consultation between you and your Commander- you simply follow his orders and his words are final. When a soldier is given an order, he goes ahead to obey I, even if the order appears risky. There is no neutrality for a true soldier. The wish of the Commander is a command. Are you a member of God’s army? Do your conduct and comportment portray you as a true soldier? Are you obedient to the voice of your Commander?
MEMORIZE: ROMANS8:2 –For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
