HOLINESS AND BOLDNESS

READ: PSALM 91:4-11
“The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.” (Proverbs 28:1). If you maintain a good relationship with God, fear will exit from your life. There will be confidence and great boldness. People are afraid to die because of sin in their lives. If whenever you hear that Christ may come now, your heart misses a beat, it is because there is sin in your life.
“Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.” (Isaiah 3:10).
If you are righteous before God, you have heaven’s guarantee that it shall be well with you. It may take a while. You may go through some suffering for Christ, or trials of faith, yet your end shall be glorious. Don’t forget that!
Living a life that pleases God keeps you under the shadow of the Almighty, as can be seen in our reading. You will have angelic bodyguards who will accompany you wherever you go. You may not see them but once in a while God may open your eyes to show you. But without the gift of discerning of spirits, you may still not understand what god is saying. Never mind. Be assured that God is with you while you do his will.
“The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” (Proverbs 18:10)
This means that in times of danger, you can hide in that strong tower and your protection will be guaranteed because God is holy. Mind you, it is only the righteous who is safe. Nothing can happen to you without God’s permission, as long as you remain in Christ. Hence you should not fear any condition you go through. You are not alone. If you are living a holy life, God will anoint you. You cannot be bound by the enemies. Even in areas where you have been bound, the anointing that comes by holy living will break the yoke. Live to please God from today.
