FASTER THAN ENEMIES

READ: 1 SAMUEL 17:46-48
“And it was so, when the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, that David hastened and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.” (1 Samuel 17:48). The enemy is not inactive. He is always up and about. 1 Peter 5:8-9 warns that Satan is roaming about seeking his next prey. You must move faster than your enemies. In the above passage, we find out that while Goliath rose and walked, David hastened and ran. The one who runs will definitely arrive faster than the one who walks. When you move, God will move with you, being the shadow of your right hand (Psalm 121:1-5).
When your enemy moves an inch, you must move several inches faster. You must go the extra mile to be able to pressurise your enemies. Many of your enemies do not sleep. At night they take your case to their covens to decide what should be your fate. It is at such times they begin to tamper with your destiny and put roadblocks on the way to your destiny.
As a Christian, you must wake up and be ahead of your enemies. You should anticipate their plans and take some steps before they do. You need to hurry up and pray. When you tell some believers to wake up a night to pray, they will ask you if they were the ones that nailed Jesus at Calvary, that they should no longer enjoy their sleep.
Do you want to enjoy your sleep? You can, but remember it was while men slept that the enemy crept in unawares and sowed tares among the wheat. While you are sleeping, the enemy is not. No wonder many believers wake up only to nurse the wounds and problems the enemy has released on them while they slept. Jesus spent quality time in prayer. He had several vigils and that was when he decided on and shaped the events the following day. You can begin to shape your destiny and determine the fate of your enemies. Also hasten to fast, give your tithes and praise God. All these have their wonderful place in spiritual warfare, as they trigger off God’s angels to both shield you and fight for you.
MEMORIRIZE: 1 SAMUEL 17:48 –And it was so, when the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, that David hastened and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.
