READ: JOHN5:1-9
Today, I
want you to understand the full importance of partnership with God. When God
enters into partnership with you, He enters into commitment to supply
everything you will ever need. When God decides to help you, He will help you
all the way. He will not stop until He has finished the job. If God is
uninterested in your case, He will not interfere at all. In John 13:1, the
Bible tell us that Jesus loved His own till the very end. “Now before the feast of the
Pass-over, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from
this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved
them to the end.” Once Jesus Christ decides to become your friend, He
will be your friend forever. David knew this and that was why he said goodness
and mercy should follow him all the days of his life (Psalm 23:6). Paul also
said in Philippians 1:6 that: “Being confident of this very thing, that He
who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus
Christ.” The one who has decided to be merciful to you will surely
fulfil His promise. He was merciful with Lot who dragged his feet and lingered
in getting out of Sodom and Gomorrah, eve after knowing that the city was to be
destroyed. God is ready to give you a miracle, but you must stretch out your
hands to receive it. The implication here is that God will provide the food but
you must do the cooking. That which you cannot do, God has already done it.
That which is your own part to do, God will leave to you. He will always tell
you to rise up, take your bed and go home, just as He said to the man by the pool
of Bethesda in our text. God provided the miracle for the man, but he had to
get up and go home. If he had waited for Jesus to pick him up, he would have
not got his miracle. Do you know that someof your miracles are lying unclaimed
in God’s storehouse simply because you have not played your own part today, you
will begin to reap a harvest of miracle.
