BLESSING OF ESTABLISHMENT

READ: PROVERBS 4:20-27
Some cracks are mendable but others are not. If the cracks in your life can still be mended, then there is hope for you. There was one man whose crack was unamendable. His name is king Saul. He was a log of wood sent to search for his father’s missing asses when the Master Sculptor chose him. On the day of his coronation as king, he went into hiding because he had no confidence in his ability to become king. The Israelite nation had never had a king, until this time. Saul was chosen to pioneer a new type of government. He had the opportunity as the first king to lead Israel and leave behind a legacy of righteousness government.
Saul was chosen as a pioneer king. For a reader of this Devotional, the Lord will choose you to pioneer something in a particular area. When this happens, ask the Lord for the wisdom to excel in the task in order to leave a godly legacy for those who will succeed you. For king Saul everything else was in place as the king. To be blessed is one thing but to have the blessing established is another. When a blessing is not established, it can easily be stolen or destroyed by the enemy. Every blessing that comes has a short life span. It is like planting maize. At the time it is sprouting within the first three weeks, it can easily be uprooted. It takes a second blessing- the blessing of divine establishment for a blessing to take root downwards so that it can bear fruit upwards.
When a blessing is established, it has a longer life span, greater glory and joy and it positively affects more members of that family, the body of Christ and the world at large. The blessing of establishment comes upon a blessing and defines the terms of reference of that blessing. The blessing of establishment can be influenced by your level of faith, love for God, percentage of involvement of your heart in the things of God; level of service, daily holiness and level of humility, after the original blessing has come. Many people never involve their hearts but their heads when serving the Lord. God looks at the heart. Head service may have no reward but heart service does. Have you been blessed before and it seems you lost it? It could simply be because it has not been established. To what extent have you paid the price of establishing the blessing God gives to you? How enduring are your blessings?
MEMORIZE: PROVERBS 4:26 –Ponder the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established.
