THE BRIDEGROOM COMES

READ: 1 THESSALONIANS 4:15-17
“Behold, He comes with the clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him; and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen” (Revelation 1:7).
“He comes…” Who is coming? It is not another president, governor, senator, chairman or community leader that is coming. It is the Lion of Judah, the King of kings, Lord of lords, the Judge of the whole earth, the I am that I am, the Emmanuel, the Prince of Peace, etc. that is coming. His name is Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Who is coming? Matthew 25:6 calls Him the Bridegroom. Bridegrooms may abound at street corners, in the market places, churches and registry offices: this One is different.
Jesus is my Bridegroom. If you are born again and live daily to please Him, He will be your bridegroom. There are poor weddings and there are weddings with so much affluence and fanfare. Yet there is the Wedding of weddings when Jesus will officially be wedded to His wife – the Church. This is a physical event that will forever seal up the relationship between Christ and His Church. For want of a better wedding reception, the event is slotted for the air – the galaxies, presently Satan’s headHHquarters. Will you be part of His bride?
Between Jesus Christ and His bride – the Church, comprising of all bonafide born-again brethren with their names written in heaven – there is an intercourse. It is not sexually-oriented or else men would have accused Him of sodomy and husbands of born again women would have accused Him of adultery. It is something more glorious, and eternal than sex. It is a refreshing spiritual experience to have  Jesus as your husband irrespective of your sex, age, nation, colour, tribe, denomination or social status. You can become part of this bride. Revelation 1:7 says He is coming with the clouds for this greatest of moments. Everyone is given opportunity to either take part or witness at least a wedding in his or her life time. If you attend all weddings but miss this super wedding, you have missed everything worth having. The penalty for not attending this wedding as a bride is very unpleasant. It is an eternity in hell. Examine yourself and determine how prepared you are to be with Him in the air when He comes.
MEMORIZE: REVELATION 1:7 –Behold, He comes with the clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him; and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.
