“And the angel answered and said to her, the
Holy Ghost shall come upon you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow
you: therefore also that holy thing which shall be” born of you shall be called
the Son of God” (Luke 1:35).
Some 2000 years ago, the world was rattled by the birth of a baby boy who was
conceived by the Holy Spirit. It sounds incredible for a virgin to conceive a
child without copulating with a man. But it is true. By the uniqueness of that
baby, the world has never been the same and never will. While skeptics dismiss
the possibility of the virgin birth, believers, however, are faced with another
challenge. They wonder: if Mary can onceive Jesus by the power of the Holy
Spirit, can’t there be a repeat of the same miracle? Yes there can be!
“My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you” (Galatians 4:19). Mary conceived Jesus by the holy Spirit. If you are born again and filled with the Holy Spirit, you too can conceive by the power of the Spirit. From the above passage Paul, who was unmarried for the sake of God’s kingdom, was able to conceive and deliver souls into God’s kingdom by the power of the Holy Spirit. He further travailed for them in prayer until they were established in Christ. Mary had only Jesus through the Holy Spirit but had other children through her earthly husband Joseph. But Paul conceived and delivered uncountable thousands of souls for the kingdom through the Spirit.
Do you know there is no limit to what you can conceive in the Holy Spirit? Ephesians 5:18-19 says if you are full of the Holy Spirit – that is married to Him – you can conceive heavenly psalms, hymns and spiritual songs and they will be born for earthly men to use. One of such psalms is Psalm 23. You can conceive ideas, solutions, books, messages, through the Holy Spirit. There is an inexhaustible book full of ideas in heaven. If you are married to the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, you will access that book and receive any idea or information you desire. You can conceive God’s answers to your prayers and desires by the help of the Holy Spirit. As you tarry in His presence, He will show you who will be your wife or husband, the next accommodation He has prepared for you, the next city you should go to for missionary work, even the structure of the church building, etc.
