READ: ROMANS 12:1-2
A child of God can be
defiled through the inordinate promptings of the flesh. Apart from this, one
could be defiled through one’s utterances. A girl who desires to be defiled or
makes herself available for defilement, will be known through her utterances. The
mouth will only spill out what the heart is full of (Matthew 15:18). The tongue
betrays the heart. What type of words do you speak? 1 Corinthians 3 :17
says your body is the temple of God. Anyone who defiles it calls for judgement.
Is somebody mounting pressure on you to go into immorality with him or her? That
is simply an invitation to destruction. If you love your life, flee.
Those who defile God’s temple shall diminish (Ezekiel 15:11). This does not take long to manifest. The pastor of a big church who is defiled will soon lose his congregation to others. God permits this migration to ensure they too are not defiled. If a defiled pastor or minister lays hands on your child, God have mercy on that child. Never allow any man of God that has been defiled by women, money, or rebellious thoughts to ordain you. If you have been defiled, stop laying hands on God’s people lest you transfer a contaminated spirit to them.
“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself” (Daniel 1:8).
To remain undefiled requires being principled. It entails upholding high moral standards. A girl who remains a virgin in the midst of young men, is one who has made up her mind that nobody will mess her up. It takes a determination to retain your salvation and keep you far from defilement. It is a choice to sin or not. The virgin is one who is highly disciplined. She may enter into covenants of consecration, with different parts of her body. Job covenanted that his eyes will never lust after a woman (Job 31:1). If you must succeed as a pastor, you will need to enter a covenant with your eyes. As a Christian, you must resolve that your hands will never touch any ill-gotten money. According to Romans 12:1-2 resolve that no member of your body must work for Satan. You are priceless before God. Run from everything and everyone that intends to defile and make you unfit for God’s Kingdom.
