GOD OF THE WEALTHY

READ: 1 TIMOTHY 6:9-12
“And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and that I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word” (1 Kings 18:36). Elijah in this prayer; addressed God as the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel. One thing that is evident here is that God does not hate the wealthy. He is the God of the wealthy as much that is of the poor. In fact, He is God of the poor so that He can absorb their poverty and replace it with His wealth (2 Corinthians 8:9). That is why I am sure you will not die in poverty. You shall flourish in Jesus name.
Abraham was greatly blessed by God according to Genesis 24:34-35. Some people still think wealth can block one’s way into Heaven. No. It is sin that can block your way (Isaiah 59:1-2). Some would refer to our reading saying, the love of money is responsible for most evils we see today, yet it is not limited to a particular class of people. There are poor people who love money and there are wealthy people who do not love money. Money on its own is not a sin; else God will not give it to His children (Ecclesiastes 5:19). Money is a defence, like wisdom (Ecclesiastes 7:12). We require money to propagate the Kingdom of God on earth. Hence He blesses His children today to expand His Kingdom. Without money Satan will frustrate the Gospel message. This is why you must flourish.
In Genesis 26 :12-14, we read that Isaac was very great. He was greater than Abraham. He was so greta that a whole nation envied him. You shall be very great. Your children shall exceed your greatness. But begin to lay the foundation of their greatness now. Genesis 30:43 says Israel (Jacob) exceeded both Abraham and Isaac in greatness. He was exceedingly great. This is a perfect example of greatness. If your children are not greater than you, it means you have failed in greatness. There must be a progression in greatness from one generation to another. For this to be, you must lay a solid foundation on Christ, holiness, Bible-based prosperity plan, sound education, prayer and Spirit-led investments.
MEMORIZE: 2 CORINTHIANS 8:9 –For you the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might be rich.
