HEAR THE CRY

READ: 1 THESSALONIANS 5:1-10
It was the cry that the virgins heard that woke them from sleep. It is therefore obvious that it was not the virgins that made the cry. It was probably someone who wanted to help them that made the cry. Today the lord is sounding the cry for you to wake up from slumber. The Lord is calling you to prepare for the examination you will have to take at the last moment.
“Wherefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12).
This calls for you to focus on yourself. Forget your brothers and sisters. Examine yourself before the Examiner sends the rapture to examine you. It is your personal responsibility, not your pastor’s. work out your salvation. The good news is that grace is still available (Ephesians 2:8-9). Also God does not want you to fail the mighty examination (2 Peter 3:19). Unlike earthly examinations where a time table is fixed and announced, this examination’s time table is not revealed to anybody. You still have time to buy extra oil of the Holy Spirit. You have time now to study God’s word and meet with all that God requires of you.
“Being confident of this very thing, that He which has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6).
The fact that you are born again and have been following the Lord, shows that the Lord has started a good work in your life. He who started this good work in you will perfect it in Jesus name. Yield completely to Him. Be ready for the rapture. It can happen anytime.
MEMORIZE: PHILIPPIANS 2:12 –Wherefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
