AVOID THESE WASTERS

READ: HEBREWS 3:16-19
Another reason for time and resource wastage is backsliding. A backslider is a great waster. When you gave your life to Christ, you and the Lord embarked on a journey. If you have gone half way and decided to discontinue the journey, you make God very unhappy. Apart from the fact that such backslider is going to hell, God will made to regret all His investments on the fellow. If God had invested the same time, knowledge, wisdom, graces and gifts on somebody else, He might have obtained a beneficial outcome. The Lord will not regret His investments in your life in Jesus name.
When you have backslidden, you remain on a particular spot. The time may be going, others may be making progress, yet the backslider remains on the same spot. Closely allied to this is habouring unconfessed sin. In Numbers 12:1-16, the whole of Israel wasted seven days doing nothing because Mariam the leader of the women gossiped about her younger brother Moses. Verse 15 says, “And Mariam was shut out from camp seven days; and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.” When you speak against genuine men of God, days will be passing but you will be unable to accomplish anything. Your act would have brought the spirit of wastage against you. Abraham could not hear God’s voice the period he retained Lot contrary to God’s instructions. He wasted several years of his life because of disobedience. Up till now, disobedience is still robbing many believers of precious blessings and stagnating their progress. Genesis 13:11-18 says the very day Abraham released Lot, God continued from where He stopped 13 years before. Are you living in disobedience? If you want God to continue His glorious dealing wit you, put an end to disobedience in your life today. Whenever an ‘Achan’ exists in your life, there will be wastage. Another great waster is unbelief. If you cannot believe God will take you to your promised land, then you may never make it there. Unbelief causes God to grieve. If you are causing God to grieve, you will be living under mercy, but will be subject to being overthrown in your journey like the Israelites. Avoid these wasters and maximize your days.
