In 2 Samuel 12:7-14,
when Prophet Nathan came to David, the latter was convicted of committing
adultery with Uriah’s wife. He broke God’s commandment in Exodus 20:14. Those
days you were guiltless until caught red handed. Then those who played their
cards very well and were never caught escaped death. Matthew 5:28 says: “But
I say to you, that whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed
adultery with her already in his heart.” Unlike in the Old Testament, you
need not wait until you go to bed with somebody’s wife or husband before you are
guilty of this sin.
As long as you habour lust, you are guilty of the offence of adultery. If your heart is polluted with immoral thoughts you are a victim of this sin. Today, secular business tries to exploit the lust for women to sell virtually all products. In this vein, naked women are readily used to attract male buyers. Some have degenerated into full blown pornography in their craze to succeed. Unfortunately, some Christian business men and women who should condemn such unhealthy practices and shine as light are going the way of the world.
In several organizations, corporate prostitution is thriving. The secretary and female workers are requested to dress seductively to attract customers. More female marketers are sent into the field with instructions to use everything at their disposal, including their bodies to meet corporate targets. Some employers cannot employ female job seekers until they have taken them to bed. In institutions of higher learning, the only way to pass the courses of some lecturers is through fornication. They are ready to prevent the graduation of ladies who refuse their advances.
If you asked king David, he would tell you his regrets. He harvested more than enough trouble. Absalom his son slept with his own wives before the nation. Incest entered into his family and led to several deaths. Do you know that you are going to harvest your evil acts? Sorry, you cannot escape it. By using your authority to force helpless females into immorality, you are breeding room for incest, rape, broken marriage, retrogression and other shameful sexual vices and disgrace in your family, particularly among your own children. If your victims are children of God, that’s even worse because it could destroy your life. Anyone or organization that is promoting adultery is under a curse and would definitely face God’s judgement. Repent now and restitute!
