HAVE HIS FULLNESS

READ: EPHESIANS 3:16-19
“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4).
What is inside you is very important. Just as the content is more important than the container, so is what is inside of you more important than your external, visible parts. The container was made for the content and not vice versa. What is on your inside is what will determine your outcome on the outside. A man who has worked as a subsistent farmer all his life can wear a designer shirt, trouser and a beautiful tie. He can have a good hair cut, wear designer shoes and carry a fat book on Aerodynamics. If he keeps his mouth shut, you will never know that he never went to school.
On the other hand you can see a professor wearing a t-shirt, shorts and slippers with his hair unkempt, without even taking a book with him. But by the time you engage the farmer and the professor in a five-minute talk, you will know who the professor is. What makes him a professor is not what he is wearing but what is inside of him. Ephesians 2:20-22 says God does not dwell in houses built with sand but in human vessels –our hearts. He dwells in a house that He has built. The Godhead make their abode in believers.
“And to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:19). It is possible to be filled with God. It is also possible to be half-filled, quarter-filled, or just slightly occupied or even totally empty of God. Your level of God’s fullness is what determines how the world, Satan and circumstances outside will respond to you. According to 1 John 4:4, it is only when you are full of God that you have the Greater One fully operating in your life. And as a result, you overcome the world. When what is inside you is greater that what is outside, you are an overcomer. But if what is inside you is less than what is outside, you cannot defeat the enemy. This is why you must be filled with His fullness everyday. Soak yourself into God’s Word. Yield to Him and be filled with His Spirit.
MEMORIZE: EPHESIANS 3:19 –And to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God.
