SATISFIED?

READ: LUKE 18:35-43
If you are asked to choose between a business breakthrough of $ 100 million and following Jesus, which would you choose? Peter was confronted with a similar choice but he chose Christ. He chose the path of service and discipleship because he could see beyond the physical eyes which were the route to a perpetual upliftment. May the Lord give you spiritual eyes to see the better choices among the options that come your way in Jesus name.
Peter chose to follow Jesus because he was not satisfied with one miracle. He was a wise man. You do not have to be a professor to access wisdom. He knew if he stayed with the fishes, one day they would all be gone and the money he would have made from that breakthrough would be exhausted. But if he followed Jesus, he would have the opportunity of accessing daily miracles. Beyond that, he knew if he learnt the ways of the Master very well, he will be so close to Him that he will perform miracles himself. Peter was not satisfied? Are you?
Many Christians have forsaken the Master for fishes. If the one miracle or blessing God gave to you is taking your time from the Giver of miracles, then you have chosen fishes instead of Jesus. Some people seat on ‘their’ money so tightly that to release a kobo, you will meet with several bottlenecks which will cost you more that what you intended to receive. That is foolishness. The money you cannot release for the Gospel or to meet the needs in the church will finish one day. If care is not taken, your miserly act can invite devourers to plunder it. But how can you get replenishment when you refuse to glorify God with the one you were given? Many believers are suffering lack because of mismanagement of God’s resources. Even if you have to invest all into God’s work, you may suffer a little, but you will surely enter a great harvest. Are you satisfied with what you have and where you are? After Jesus opened the eyes of Bartimaeus, he did not go home. He followed Him. One miracle is not enough. Follow Him. Pant after knowing Him and having Him fill your life. You too can become a miracle worker not just a recipient!
MEMORIZE: LUKE 18:43 –And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
