WHEN YOUR GOOD BECOMES EVIL

READ: ROMANS 14:20-23
There are certain keys you will apply that will position blessings in your way. In fact, you may even be running away from them yet they pursue and overtake you. You can be so blessed that you will be the one telling God, “Lord, this is too much.” This will be your portion in Jesus name. There are major keys which can further be split into three each at the sub-levels. They are: What you hear (if you hearken), what you see (to observe) and what you do (to do them).
The first key- what you hear can further be divided into how you hear and if you hear. What you hear is very important. “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). The entrance of faith into your heart is through the door of hearing. Without hearing, no faith will come. Faith is the key element in pleasing God in whatever you do (Hebrews 11:6). That means anything you do –serving God, giving to God, praying and fasting, winning souls to Christ, marrying a wife or husband, going on missionary trip, giving even your body to be burnt for the name of Jesus Christ, occupying any of the ministry gift or office, etc. can be done in two ways: with faith and without faith. If done in faith, you will please god; that act will be recorded in your favour, and you will receive a reward on earth and in heaven.
But you can also do them without faith. Romans 14:23 says, “And he that doubts is damned if he eats, because he eats not of faith; for whatsoever is not of faith is sin”. From this scripture, if you do these good works without processing them through faith, they will become sin. Faith acknowledges God, unbelief denies His existence. Faith says God can, unbelief says since none could, therefore God also can’t. If you pay your tithe in unbelief, it will be unrecorded in heaven. In fact in their records, you will still be owing. You are not credited for anything you do in unbelief. Have you been turning your good works into unprofitable works because of unbelief? Stop today and repent. Always express your faith whenever you want to do something God has commanded you to.
MEMORIZE: ROMANS 14:23 – And he that doubts is damned if he eats, because he eats not of faith; for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
