PREPARATION FOR ETERNAL PLEASURE

READ: REVELATION 21:1-5
“And he says to me, Write, Blessed are they which are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he says to me, These are the true sayings of God” (Revelation 19:9).
All those who will be invited to the greatest marriage ceremony of heaven and earth are termed blessed, fortunate and people to be envied. Are you wishing you could be invited to this wedding? If yes, then you’ve got it all wrong. If you are invited to the wedding, it means you are a guest not part of the bride. Nobody ever invites a bride to her own wedding. If you are born again and make it at the rapture, you will be a part of Christ’s bride. We are going to send beautifully designed invitation cards to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Elijah, Elisha, David, etc. They will be our guests but we are the ones who will be getting married.
After the marriage and the seven years of feasting under the highest level of enjoyment, we will come back to earth for 1000 years. What for? I asked God this question sometime ago. The Lord explained to me that, even when our bodies have been transformed, we have been too used to the earthly environment fraught with its pains and evils that we will need 1000 years of reprogramming, reorientation and preparation for the eternal pleasure and comfort of the heavenly planet. We are so used to suffering that if we go straight from earth to heaven, the enjoyment there will kill us.
“Have you found honey? Eat so much as is sufficient for you, lest you be filled therewith, and vomit it” (Proverbs 25:16). The human body has a way of reacting to too much enjoyment. According to the above verse, if you eat too much honey, you will throw up while still eating. If somebody who is on a salary of 200 Naira per month suddenly receives a raise to $ 1 million per month, don’t be surprised if he does not recover from the shock and dies in the process. God does not want His blessing to kill us, hence He has designed 1000 years of gradual increase in enjoyment to prepare us for that which awaits us in heaven, the type of enjoyment no mouth can adequately describe, I am looking forward to that day. I pray I see you there. But how prepared are you for this unending life of blessedness? Is there any pending restitution you need to make? Settle it now before it is too late!
MEMORIZE: REVELATION 21:5 –And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said to me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
