WINNING THROUGH FAVOUR

READ: 1 SAMUEL 16:11-13
“And Samuel said to Jesse, Are here all your children? And he said, There remains yet the youngest, and behold, he keeps the sheep. And Samuel said to Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come here” (1 Samuel 16:11).
Divine favour is a powerful thing. When it located David at the backside of the desert, it ignored the fact that he was the youngest. It kept the whole family including the spiritual Head of the nation, Prophet Samuel, standing and waiting for hours. Nobody was at peace until the mission of that favour was executed. You will experience God’s divine favour that will take you to the top irrespective of what you lack, your age or educational background.
In a man’s life, divine favour has certain assignments. The first is its ability to trace and locate you wherever you are hidden. In any part of the world you may be, even the remotest of villages, in the heart of the deepest well or prison, when a call is placed on you for favour, the search light will beam on you and trace you out. 2 Chronicles 16:9 says God’s eyes are looking for those who will give Him pleasure so that He can favour them. Do you fit into His mould? In the heart of the desert, God located David. At the backside of the desert God located Moses. In a remote and very vast farmland, God located Elisha (1 Kings 19:19-21). Wherever situations have did you, God will locate you for favour in Jesus name. Have those in authority tucked you far away from good things? God’s favour will break every barrier and locate you this season.
Also, the favour of God turns losers into winners. Have you been defeated in the battles of life? When God’s favour shines in your direction; your story will change. Even where others are losing, you will emerge a winner. Like David in our reading, his seven eldest brothers had already lost the race for kingship yet he won. Through God’s favour, you will win where others have failed. God’s favour will make you a winner over all battles of life in Jesus name. Worship and appreciate God for past favours. Ask for an uncommon measure of favour today.
MEMORIZE: PSALM 102:13 –You shall arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favor her, yea the set time, is come.
