READ: JAMES
1:5-8
“O You that hears prayer, to You shall all
flesh come.” (Psalm
62:5).
God loves to hear the voice of His children regularly in the place of prayer. When you devote time to call on the Lord, he responds by coming down with the intention of answering your prayer. In Matthew 7:7, He enjoins you to ask, seek and knock so as to receive answers. In fact, according to John 16:24, Jesus commands you to ask until your joy is full.
As eager as God is to answer us, why do we get so little result from so much prayer? There are several hindrances, one of which is inability to sustain our faith to receive. Hebrews 11:6 clearly says, if you must receive anything from God, you must have faith. Faith is the currency with which to make purchases from the Heavenly supermarket – the Storehouse. If you go to the car dealer showroom and indicate a particular brand of your choice without the means to buy it you will most likely return home empty. So it is with purchases from Heaven.
Assuming when you started praying for a car, you had great faith that the Lord was going to bring your car speedily. This means you had much heavenly currency. But if after waiting for some time, you lost hope of its materialization, then you will not have the currency with which to buy it. This is why our reading says the one who moves from faith into doubt or unbelief should never expect anything from God.
Have you started out in faith but already ending up in doubt? Make a u-turn now and stay put in place of faith, until your blessing manifests. Wait as long as it takes. Doubt and unbelief are an affront on the Trinity. Doubting God is calling Him a liar. By your unbelief you are saying God is unable to do what he says he can do. You are saying God is not God enough. You insult God and that is why His ability towards the doubter becomes very limited. Are you trying other alternatives after waiting on God for a while? It is an evidence of doubt. Repent.

JAMES 1:6 –But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is
like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
