HE KEEPS HIS PROMISES

READ: GENESIS 21:1-8
“And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did to Sarah as He had spoken” (Genesis 21:1).
God always keeps His promises no matter how impossible they appear. Once He has promised, He will surely bring it to pass. Are you holding on to some promises He gave to you and it is taking long? Are you asking whether He has forgotten your request with the passing of time? Are you wondering whether He will still do what He promised even when all hopes seem lost? God is a faithful God. He will fulfil every promise He made to you. He has not forgotten even if you have. He has records of His promises and He will bring them to pass in your life in Jesus name.
“God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: has He said, and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken, and shall He not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19). God is not a liar because there is none else to fear. He is committed to every word He has promised you. Ensure you have satisfied the necessary conditions and you will be guaranteed. He will bring His Word to pass. Even when there is a delay, He will yet fulfil it. In Genesis 21:4, after the birth of Isaac, Abraham circumcised him according to the covenant existing between him, his descendant and God. Many enter into a covenant with God without fulfilling their part. Do you keep to His covenant?
A brother who was once a drunkard was invited by God to enter into a covenant never to drink anything in a bottle. This was to assist him to get to heaven. For the sake of God’s kingdom you can make a covenant with God not to indulge in any work of the flesh according to Romans 12:1. Cutting a covenant with God is a way of renewing the joy of the Lord in your life. If Christians can keep the covenant they have with God, there will be so much joy in our homes that we can drive sadness from this nation. Some people think if a Muslim lives a good life, keeps all the rules of the Koran, they will get to heaven. Muslims have deliberately decided to be children of Ishmael. Genesis 21:9-14 says they are not going to share with Isaac because the kingdom of God belongs to Isaac. However, if they can switch over to Isaac who received the promise, then they can benefit from the blessings of Abraham. The only way to switch is by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Saviour and immediately the blessings of Abraham will operate in their lives according to Galatians 3:13-14.
MEMORIZE: GENESIS 21:1 –And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did to Sarah as He had spoken.
