IS GOD A LIAR?

READ: NUMBERS 13:31-33
The adversary likes to strike at the moment you least expect. When King David felt he needed to take some time off to relax at a time most kings were at the battle front, Satan came to speak to him. He asked him to take a walk in his pent-house. As he did, Satan showed him Bathsheba, Uriah’s wife, bathing naked. That was the beginning of a chain of sins. Lust, adultery, forced drunkenness, lie, murder, wife-snatching and a host of other distasteful fall outs (2 Samuel 11:1-27).
When you refuse to pray, preach or fellowship with God, Satan may come to speak to you. When you take a holiday or go on vacation, it will be a time when Satan, who is on overtime, will come to you. Be careful of the voices you hear.
When Satan speaks, he paints God as a liar. He told Eve, ‘you shall not surely die.’ Ezekiel 18:4 says the soul that sins, it shall die. But Satan will tell you, you shall not surely die. So when you commit the sin and find out that you are still alive, he will convince you to continue until you are damned in hell. The day Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit, they died spiritually. They were separated from God. They lost the glory of God that was a cover over them and suddenly realised they were naked. They that were initially created to live forever, begin to die.
Any voice that tells you God is a liar or that God cannot do what He says He would is from the devil. Run away from whoever is being used to communicate that message. The ten spies told the congregation that the people in the Promised Land were so strong that it is impossible for God to defeat them and give Canaan to Israel (Number 13:31-33).
That was the devil speaking. Any voice that tells you God cannot take you where He has promised is of the devil. Reject it and assert what God has said. Satan will tell you nothing has happened since you have been praying and that nothing will happen. Shut him up and hold on to your God who is ever faithful. Satan is the liar and the father of all liars. Our God cannot lie. Whatever He says He will do, He surely will bring to pass; only remain in obedience and faith so that He will fulfil His promises concerning you.
MEMORIZE: NUMBERS 23:19 –God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: has He said; and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken, and shall He not make it good?
