ONE THE PILGRIMAGE

READ: HEBREWS 11: 8-16
Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and other patriarchs of old were blessed by God in several ways: spiritually, materially, financially, socially, intellectually, etc. As wealthy as they were, many of them lived like strangers and pilgrims. They had to watch their appetites and desires so that whenever it appeared they were being carried away by the pleasures and comfort of this world, they would pinch themselves into the reality of the better place they were striving for. Today they are enjoying Heaven, never allow any position, affluence or opportunity you presently enjoy take you off your gaze.
In John 14:1-4 Jesus promised to go and prepare a place for you and me so that He will return to take us there. There is no place to be compared to Heaven where God dwells. That is where the Lord is taking us to. Are you prepared for eternity in Heaven? There are several things on earth you will also find in Heaven but in more perfect and glorious state. There are very beautiful flowers of the most beautiful fragrances and colours you have ever seen. Many people will be afraid to walk on both the flowers and the golden streets. But whenever you walk on the flowers they become back with life. There is no destruction in Heaven.
From our, text, the Architect is God. Heaven has foundations too. The River of life flows from God’s throne into the city. At the middle of the streets and on both sides are the trees of life lined up. This tree produces 12 types of fruits and its leaves are for the healing of nations (Revelation 22:1-2). There are several mountains, gorgeous valleys with a topography and landscape that is second to none. There are some chariot-like transports there. You will meet with some animals also. The whole atmosphere is charged by the fruit of the Holy Spirit. People either wear gowns or the robe of righteousness. God’s throne is the centre of attraction and you could see it from a distance. And millions upon millions gather to worship Him. Every thing in Heaven is perfect. God and Jesus are the light there. There is no sorrow, suffering, sin, nor marginalization. There are beautifully designed mansions. There are people from every nation on earth. And these will live forever with God. I will be there. I shall see you there.
MEMORIZE: PSALMS 39:12 –Hear my prayer, O LORD and give ear to my cry; hold not Your peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with You, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.
