JOEL 2:21-27
There is
a link between breakthroughs and showers of blessings. When there is no rain,
severe drought and famine result. The longer the rain stays away, the more
devastating it effects on vegetation, animal life and human beings. The coming
of the rains therefore brings growth, fruitfulness and wealth. There is plenty
to eat, abundance of water for fishes to swim in, lots of worms for birds to
feed on. Frustration, hunger and sorrows depart. Laughter fills the mouth of
everyone. The time of showers of blessing is actually a time of breakthrough.
Every dryness and staunted growth in your life shall receive the rainfall of
His blessings this season in Jesus Name.
Another perspective of breakthrough is as seen in a seed. A seed may appear so small yet it is loaded with great potentials. A single seed has an immediate potential to becoming a tree but a remote potential of becoming a forest. In God’s economy, He sees a seed as a forest to be. That means if a seed for any reason is destroyed, a forest has been destroyed. A seed that has no contact with rainfall could be scorched by the sun and destroyed. A seed will remain a seed unless it comes in contact with water in the soil. A seed that is unable to reproduce itself for the benefit of the world is a big loss to the world.
According to Genesis 1:26, there is a seed of greatness inside everyone of us. We were created to be great. God did not create you to be a local champion but a world champion. He wants your life to positively affect the whole world just as He does. Are you satisfied with that height of greatness, success, joy, prosperity, victory which you are currently experiencing? The truth is that your present position is far from where God is taking you. Are you yet born again? You are that seed which had no contact with water. As long as you remain a seed, your potentials remain bottled-up, caged. It is your contact with the living waters that would break away every limitation and cause you to manifest the real potentials for greatness that the Lord has deposited on your inside. Surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ today.
