DISCOVER YOURSELF

READ: 1 KINGS 19:19-21
Self-discovery is a very important key to achieving your destiny in life. You can recover your destiny when you discover who you are and what you have been created to be. It is discovery that creates a path to your destiny and gives you the required push to get there. As long as you have not discovered yourself, you will most probably keep heading in the wrong direction. Those you were meant to bless might remain denied, deprived and hindered. I pray that the Lord will unveil your potentials and His plan for your life to you in Jesus name.
Elisha was a prosperous farmer. He though because he was doing well in that occupation, he will continue farming until he dies. But the day Elijah’s mantle fell on him, he realised that farming was child’s play compared to God’s plan for his life. From that moment he knew he was destined for greatness. You too are destined for greatness. Some Christians think because they are successful in their line of business, that is most likely the area the Lord wants them in. by the time God anwser your prayer for the showers of His blessings, many of you would have to either change your type of business, move from civil service to private entrepreneurship or leave your present job.
In Judges 13:24-25, we are told that the Spirit of God stirred up the heart of Samson. Although he did not know everything God wanted to do with him, he knew he was different. Have you been asking god to take you to a higher level than where you are now? Have you been dissatisfied with your present status? That is an evidence of the Spirit pushing you upwards. If the seed of greatness is in you, it will not give you any form of rest. Is the Spirit stirrring up desires for greater heights in you? The Lord will grant you the desires of your heart. You will fulfil your God-given destiny in Jesus name. Why not arise and spend quality time in praise and worship of the Almighty God who has destined you for greatness? Thereafter take time to seek His face for a clearer insight into His plan for your life. Ask Him, ‘Lord, I know You created me for a purpose. Reveal Your purpose for my life so that I can fulfil it.’ A man succeeds in life only when He has fulfiled God’s plan for him on earth. Failing to discover your purpose on earth makes you a failure in spite of earthly success.
MEMORIZE: 2 TIMOTHY 1:9 –Who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.
