LUKE 19:29-35
Another
great time to sow is when God demonstrates a need. It is possible that the one
who created the heavens and the earth, who fills both and owns everything in
them, can have a need? In the true sense of the word, No. But to be able to create
opportunities for is children to be blessed, Yes. God’s needs are the vehicles
you need to get to your desired goals. How well are you riding them, the
believers who have known this secret always rejoice whenever they see an
opportunity to sow to meet the needs in God’s house.
A brother has trusted God for a Jeep for a while. All his efforts at raising the means to purchase the Jeep kept meeting with one disappointment or the other. When he gathers some money for that purpose, before he realises it, he would have spent it. Then one day, a member from one of the newly established parishes came to him for support. He did not have much but saw this as an opportunity to do business with God. He sowed what he could afford. Within two weeks he recived a miracle that enabled him to buy his desired Jeep.
Peter saw Jesus in need of a boat for preaching and he gladly obliged the Master. The result was a breakthrough is his fishing business (Luke 5:1-11). Even today, opportunities abound for God’s children to rise up and take active part in expanding the Kingdom. New parish establishment, purchase of musical instruments for parishes, funding of special programmes, crusades and other meetings aimed at winning souls and building the members up, etc are a few of such opportunities. Your parish may need some beautification or a face-lift to make it more attractive to visitors. What have you done about it?
The children of God would willingly flow along the leading of the holy Spirit. To what extent have you obeyed the Spirit? If Christian can obey the Holy Spirit, we will have progressive and comfortable expansion. You have your part to play in God’s house. Pray that nobody else will take your part. If they take your part, they will automatically take over your provision. If you can meet God’s needs, He will go beyond your needs to your wants.

shall you say to him, Because the Lord has need of him.
