READ: ECCLESIASTES 3:1-8
“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and
summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” (Genesis
8:22)
There is a time for everything on earth. There is a time to sow and a time to reap. When you sow during seedtime, you will definitely reap when harvest comes. The person who refuses to sow at seedtime has also sown. He has sown nothingness and according to Hosea 8:7, he that sows to the wind shall reap the whirlwind. When harvest time comes, he will reap super nothingness. Life is all about sowing and reaping. The law of harvest is what guarantees continuity of life at various levels.
Of all sowing seasons, there are times when it is best to sow. At such times, the yield could either be greater than in the normal harvest, or the harvest could take a faster dimension. That is when, in the language of gamblers, you could ‘hit the jackpot.’ Unfortunately, many believers have had such opportunities but they discarded them without knowing it. May you not miss opportunities for your breakthroughs in Jesus name. When are the best times to sow?
The time of famine is an ideal time to sow. In Genesis 26: 1, 12-14, Isaac dwelt in Gerar at a time of famine. While others saved their food stuff and crops and consumed them little by little until they were scare, Isaac sowed his crops and within that year he had a hundred fold increase. The Philistines had to begin to depend on him for food. Before long, he became so rich that a whole nation began to envy him. Just because he knew when to sow. Similarly, the widow of Zarephath in 1 Kings 17:8-16 who had her last meal agreed to sow it and she hit her breakthrough which sustained her for the entire period of famine. If you sow in a time of acute lack and dryness, your harvest will carry you beyond the famine period. Are you with your last food, money, or materials right now? Instead of consuming it and staying hungry afterwards take a step of faith and sow it to the Lord or His servant and enter into your breakthrough. Your last meal or money is not meant for eating. It is a seed that should trigger more supplies. Be wise.
