LITTLE THINGS

READ 1 PETER 5:5-7
This world is governed by laws and there are different types in operation. There are laws of physics, laws of philosophy, spiritual laws and so on. Colossians 1:16 says: “For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him.” The one who creates a thing, for instance, a motor car, can manipulate it as he likes. Jesus Christ created all things and put in place the various laws to control their operations (Proverbs 8:26). That is why any time any law does not suit His purpose; He will suspend that law and apply a more superior law.
Scientists have been asking whether there is life in the stars and they seem not to have an answer to that. But we know that the stars themselves are alive because according to Matthew 2:1-2 and 9, God sends them on errand. He is Lord of all heavenly bodies. Jesus is the maker of everything from the greatest to the smallest. Physicists have been worried about the atom. If split, you will find the nucleus and electrons. The nucleus consists of protons and neutrons. Protons have positive charges while neutrons have no charges at all. A law of physics says like charges repel. The question now is, How is it possible for nucleus to stay together with the presence of only the positive charges? How is it possible that something as minute as an atom contain so much energy “And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist” (Colossian 1:17).
The answer according to this passage is that Jesus is the one holding all things together, including the nucleus of an atom. He is interested in the smallest atom because He made it. That is why you should acquaint Him with both little, medium and large sized challenges or problems facing you. 1 Peter 5:7 says He cares about everything that concerns you. Even those minute things you do not count as important are important to Him. He holds your life together. He will ensure you reach your goals. Are you not glad that the Lord of the universe is the one holding and daily watching over you? Do not hide anything from Him. Be open to Him and cultivate His active friendship today.
