JOIN THIS TRAIN

READ: GENESIS 13:5-6
God called Abraham. Lot went with him and the blessings on Abraham rubbed off on him. Individually, we have our destinies. Collectively, our destiny is linked in one way or the other. As the Lord has purposed to reach out to the world through the Redeemed Christian Church of God, anyone who goes along with us will automatically partake of the blessings God has bestowed on us.
“And Moses said to Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses’ father in law, We are journeying to the place of which the LORD said, I will give it you; come you with us, and we will do you good; for the LORD has spoken good concerning Israel” (Numbers 10:29).
On their way to the promised land, Moses met his father-in-law and invited him to join them and be blessed. Initially, Hobab refused but Moses told him that if he accompanied them, whatever blessing God releases to Israel, he too will partake and he agreed. God expects you to go and win others to Christ. If they refuse, persist and ask God for the right words and deed that will break their resistance. Are all members of your immediate family part of this Heaven-bound train? If no, get them on board. Your colleagues at work and school should not be left out. Jesus died for all. Ensure none misses the Gospel train. “And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and I will multiply you exceedingly” (Genesis 17:2).
This was something bigger than what God already promised Abraham. We were at Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria, in February 1993, praying for God’s mighty move, when the Holy Spirit asked me to shut up. He said I had not thanked Him for what He had already done within the last ten years, yet I was asking for more. I fell down on my face and apologized. Then I spent the next three days praising Him. By the third day, He said that what we have seen so far is expansion but the explosion will come. Between then and now, this has been fulfilled to God’s glory. But we have not seen anything yet. Do you remember to thank God for what He has done in your life? If you don’t, you do not deserve fresh blessings. Do not hinder your prayers. Thank and praise Him regularly for His mercies.
