READ: PSALM 103:1-5
“Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah,
saying, So may the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not your life as the
life of one of them by tomorrow about this time” (1 Kings 19:2).
When Jezebel heard that all the 450 prophets of Baal who ate at her table, were defeated and dead, she swore to kill Elijah. She sent to him saying, within the next 24 hours, if I don’t kill you, let the gods kill me. From this event we learn that when you keep defeating agents of darkness in the spirit realm, they will physically come to assault you. When this happens, know that God is trying to produce the physical evidence of the spiritual battle you have been facing. Do not go physical with them. Ignore anything they do to provoke you, but continue to handle them spiritually. If you decide to go physical and fight with them, you will break your link with Jehovah Nissi who is your backbone. If He withdraws, your victory is over. Hence Ephesians 6:12 says we are engaged in spiritual, not physical warfare.
Elijah, the great man of God received Jezebel’s message and fled. Why? He allowed fear into his heart. That message was a fiery dart of fear. And it hit him. When fear comes, faith flees. He suddenly forgot that the One who dealt with the 450, could also deal with one. He forgot he had the anointing to reverse the death sentence of Jezebel. Commanding her to die in less than an hour, it would have been so. All he needed to say was, if the God that I serve is alive, you will not live to see the next hour. And she would have become history.
Never allow fear into your heart. Never accept the threats of your enemies. Simply return them to sender. When fear comes into your heart, you will forget your past victories and begin to quake before your enemies. Who is that Jezebel that has threatened your life, job, progress? Stop running. Face that Jezebel in the name of Jesus and issue whatever decree you want and stay on it in prayers. It will come to pass. Every Jezebel’s threat terrorizing your life is returned to sender in Jesus name. It is well with you. The Lord is on your side. Stand in faith.

MEMORIZE:
EPHESIANS 6:12 –For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this
world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
