PHYSICAL LOOKS AND ETERNITY

READ: MATTHEW 5:29-30
In 1 Samuel 25:3, Abigail was described as a woman with both inward and outward beauty. May the Lord fill you with inward beauty. We know ‘Paul’ meant ‘little.’ He was a man of little stature. We were not told whether he was handsome is Scriptures. However in Acts 19:11-12, handkerchiefs that ahd contact with his body chased demons out of their hiding places. His body might have been ugly but his sweat emitted power. Elisha was bald-headed but that did not prevent his pronouncement on the jesters from coming to pass (2 Kings 2:22-24). He was a container full of power.
The anointing of Holy Spirit works with and through you irrespective of your physical features. God made everybody as He wanted. Whether physically beautiful or not, God has given you His pass mark. He created you in His image and after His likeness. Since He created the woman from a man, both man and woman meet the same mark, very good. Anybody who despises you because of your looks is reproaching your Maker. If this really bothers you, go back to God to improve your features.
Some people go for plastic surgery and change their features from God’s original design. This leads to complications. Worse still, they defy God’s word which says your body is God’s temple, not yours (1 Corinthians 6:19). Ultimately, such people will give account to God for destroying the body He loaned them. You are wonderfully and fearfully made. Romans 12:1-2 says you should compel your body to join your inner man in pleasing God and daily doing His word.
Why do you want to change your complexion or hair? You are just beautiful as you are before God. The body is ordinary sand. No matter how much you decorate it, it will end up as dust. Give priority to your spirit man. In hell, there are many beautiful people. Jesus says even if you were deformed, when you get to Heaven you will regain what you lost.
MEMORIZE: 1 CORINTHIANS 6:19 –What? Know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own?
